WHAT PEOPLE SAY
"His knowledge of who to contact for donations was impressive and he tactfully approached many potential donors. He kept the committee regularly informed as to who had donated and how much had been raised. He also advised as to any events that were being arranged by the public to raise funds. The project was successfully completed in 2018. I have no hesitation in recommending Colin as an efficient fundraiser as the success of the Rosemary Appeal was in a large part due to Colin’s activities."
“Our organisation could never have got started - and certainly wouldn’t have made it through the first few years - without Colin’s adept fundraising skills and grant management. Today we have annual turnover of over £1m, and own and manage affordable housing throughout London. But it started with his knowledge and advocacy, getting us through the tough times and to a point where we could become self-sustaining”
...He brilliantly
oversaw the growth in
the organisation’s staff team and budget from
5 staff to 55 and
from £250,000 to
£3.5 million.
"While our trustees focused on ‘local’ fund raising activities Colin targeted larger corporate and institutional (potential) donors with immediate success. His experience of the application process for funding surpassed our collective knowledge while his regular, detailed reporting provided us with (limited) know how for future projects. We are confident that with Colin’s continued support the Rosemary Appeal will prove to be an outstanding success, exceeding its original objective within twenty four months."
"Colin Weatherup was an outstanding Development Director at Citizens UK from November 2005 to September 2015. He brilliantly oversaw the growth in the Organisation’s staff team and budget from 5 staff to 55 and from £250,000 to £3.5million. His post also included responsibility for fundraising and marketing the organisation which he did very successfully at every stage of our growth and diversification. He is a team player with passion for a cause, if he believes in it, and can also create the necessary systems, policies and procedures to fit."
"Colin Weatherup’s ability to raise funds and maintain good relationships with funders helped our charity more than double in size. He has a proven ability to match charitable organisations with funding opportunities and develop successful applications for a broad range of causes from, tackling poverty to refugees, street safety to affordable housing.
His contribution to our funding base and management of the grants enabled our charity to expand our staff, geographical reach and our campaign impact."
